Michael Ruwet is a partner in the firm with experience working on a wide range of clients and industries. His main focus is providing accounting, tax and complex tax planning services to his client base that includes small businesses, individuals, and tax-exempt entities. Mike keeps up to date on relevant federal, state, and other tax issues and legislation that may impact corporation, S corporation, partnership, fiduciary, estate, gift, and property tax returns.
Mike’s accounting career began with eight years at Deloitte & Touche in Hartford as an audit manager, with a focus on both public and private companies in the manufacturing, construction, utilities and employee benefit plan industries. Upon joining Barron & Company, LLP, Mike applied his extensive experience with all aspects of the financial reporting process to his client base while adhering to the firm’s quality control standards.
Mike received both his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, graduating magna cum laude. Mike is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also active in the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.
Mike resides in Harwinton with his wife and two children and enjoys playing golf and fishing.
